This paper focuses on the Qareh Sou Basin in Golestan Province, Iran. Golestan Province is the third largest cereal producer in Iran and water scarcity and salinity are major problems in this area. This study attempts to facilitate the comprehension of system behavior with respect to water quality issues and hydro-geochemical coefficients within the Qareh Sou Basin. This study was carried out during the year 2010. Various parameters, such as pH, EC, chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium have been determined for evaluation purposes. Then, Ca/Mg, Na/Cl, Mg/(Ca + Mg), Ca/HCO3, (Ca + Mg)–(HCO3 + SO4), (Na + K)–Cl, (Ca + Mg + Na + K)–Cl, HCO3 + SO4, Ca + Mg and chloro-alkaline indices (CAI) were calculated. Results show that cation exchange probably is an important factor in the hydrochemistry and silicate mineral weathering. Also, CAI-1 plot against CAI-2 demonstrates that most of samples have positive values which suggest normal ion exchange in the system. The carbonic acid is the main agent of calcite, limestone and dolomite weathering which occurs in some stations. According to Chadha’s diagram, the type of water is determined as Ca–Mg–HCO3.  相似文献

Comparing spaceborne satellite images of Landsat‐8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) and Landsat‐7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) was undertaken to investigate the relative accuracy of mapping hydrothermal alteration minerals. The study investigated the northern part of Rabor, which contains copper mineralization occurrences, and is located in the Kerman Cenozoic magmatic assemblage (KCMA), Iran. Image processing methods of band ratio, principal component analysis (PCA), and spectral angle mapper (SAM) were used to map the distribution of hydrothermally altered rocks associated with the porphyry copper mineralization. The band ratio combination of both sensors for mapping altered areas showed similar outcomes. PCA exposed variations in the spatial distribution of hydroxyl‐bearing minerals. The representation of hydrothermal areas using OLI data was more satisfactory than when using ETM+ data. SAM analysis found similar results for mapping hydroxyl‐bearing zones. Verification of the results came through ground investigation and laboratory studies. Rock samples (n = 56) were collected to validate results using thin sections, X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and spectral analyses. Field observations and laboratory analysis revealed that phyllic and propylitic alterations dominate the alteration zones in the study area. Argillic and iron oxides/hydroxides alterations were observed to a lesser degree. The results indicate that alteration maps prepared by OLI data using PCA for visual interpretation are more suitable than those of ETM+ due to a higher radiometric resolution and lower interference between vegetation and altered areas. As the spectral bandwidth of ETM+ band 7 covers absorption feature of propylitic alteration, better mapping of propylitic alterations is achieved using ETM+ data.  相似文献

Investigating the secondary geochemical environments, river, and stream sediments are considered as one of the geochemical exploratory methods on a primary scale, which is justifiable regarding the expenses and time of execution. Evaluating the factors related to mineralization of gold shear zones based on stream and river sediment sampling, located in the southwest of Saqqez (Kurdistan), is the main purpose of this research. Using multivariable analyses and investigating the cluster graph of the elements, controlling factors of mineralization have been investigated and effective factors are divided into two groups, one is probably related to the mineralization of gold in the region which contains the elements (Pb, Zn, Mo, Ag, Cu, Bi, etc.), and other is related to typical petrogenetic processes which contains the elements (Co, V, Cr, Ti, Ni, Mn, etc.). Based on factor analysis, seven main factors, which justify about 80% of the changes of the region, were introduced; factors 3, 1, 5, and 6 were related to mineralization and factors 2, 4, and 7 were related to the lithology of the region. For a more precise separation of the processes related to mineralization, various ratios were investigated and reagent ratios (Au/Bi and Au/Mo) were identified. It is found that the ranges of [23–100] for Au/Bi and [8–80] for Au/Mo are related to gold mineralization. Using the modeling of the reagent ratios probability graph and determining the exploratory threshold, significant parameters in gold mineralization were separated from insignificants.  相似文献

This study attempts to evaluate the capability of the advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer (ASTER) and the advantages of ground knowledge for generating maps portraying hydrothermally altered areas in relation to porphyry copper deposits. The northern part of the Rabor area in the Urumieh–Dokhtar magmatic belt, containing some copper mineralization occurrences, was investigated as a case study. Several image processing techniques, namely minimum noise fraction, pixel purity index, and n-dimensional visualization, contributed to the extraction of pure pixels as endmembers. The spectra of some rock samples collected around the well-known altered zones of the study area were resampled to ASTER bands and used to identify the image-extracted endmembers. Spectral analysis of the endmembers and ground sample spectra led to the identification of three types of hydrothermal alterations: (1) phyllic, (2) propylitic, and (3) argillic. The identified endmembers were used as the specified targets for mapping hydrothermal alteration zones over the study area by using a mixture tuned match filtering algorithm. Results demonstrate that high abundances within pixels correspond closely to the altered areas. Field observations, thin section, and X-ray diffraction of collected samples confirmed the accuracy of the alteration maps prepared by the application of the proposed methods. The final classified hydrothermal alteration maps showed the overall accuracy and kappa coefficient values of 85.41 and 0.72%, respectively. These results ascertain that ASTER data that use suitable image processing techniques appear consistent in mapping out the distribution of hydrothermally altered areas. In addition, ground knowledge data can act as a valuable information source to increase the image classification accuracy and reliability.  相似文献
