| Abstract: | Key issues of constructing distributed digital Earth system were analysed.A framework designed for the distributed digital Earth system and a global multi-resolution hierarchical pyramid structure based on quad-tree were presented.Finally,an experimental distributed digital Earth system called GeoGlobe was developed based on Direct3D. |
