水分是干旱、半干旱区草地生态系统生产力的主要限制因素,但水分如何影响生产力的季节内变异,以往研究相对不足。本研究以内蒙古温带典型草原为研究对象,基于多通道自动原位监测箱系统获得的生态系统日尺度总初级生产力(GPP)及遥感植被归一化指数估算年尺度的地上净初级生产力数据,在不同时间尺度上研究了水分对生产力的影响。结果表明:年降水量对该典型草原草地生态系统地上净初级生产力年际变异无显著影响,但土壤水分显著影响GPP的季节变异,土壤水分解释了GPP季节变异的22%;其他环境因子对生产力的季节变异也有一定影响;温度是生态系统处于干旱时GPP的主要限制因素,GPP随温度的升高而降低;而辐射是生态系统处于湿润时GPP的主要限制因素,GPP随辐射的升高而升高。本研究结果将有利于提升未来降水格局改变对草地生态系统生产力影响的认识。  相似文献

Grazing is a dominant determinant of aboveground net primary production (ANPP) and composition of plant communities. However, ANPP can be maintained following grazing due to compensatory growth, the level of which might depend on additional environmental factors, such as precipitation and edaphic conditions. Several studies have shown that along large-scale regional gradients, community-level compensatory ability is positively correlated with ANPP and soil resource availability. However, community-level responses to grazing are also expected to be affected by local-scale heterogeneity in ANPP, particularly under low primary productivity typical to arid environments. Here, we studied the effect of local-scale variations in ANPP on the compensatory growth of an annual community in a semi-arid region. For two consecutive years, ANPP was evaluated following shoot damage in sites with different primary productivity. The results demonstrated that annual ANPP varied significantly among sites and among plots within sites; however, compensatory ability was negatively correlated with annual ANPP, with overcompensation in the least productive patches and under-compensation in the most productive patches. This pattern contradicts the positive correlation between ANPP and compensatory ability commonly found along large-scale productivity ecoclines, suggesting that the effects of ANPP on compensatory ability might be scale-dependent.  相似文献

The relationship between above-ground net primary productivity (ANPP) and actual evapotranspiration (AE) has been previously shown by Rosenzweig (1968) to be significant for a variety of mainly temperate terrestrial ecosystems. Our study of ANPP and AE data from the humid tropics showed that AE remains a useful predictor of ANPP in tropical rainforest environments. However, we also noted that 80% of the tropical rainforest data points were depressed below Rosenzweig's original regression line. We attribute these lower-than-predicted ANPP values to transpiration losses and rainfall interception losses that do not result in a corresponding production of biomass.  相似文献

Evidence supporting water limitation in arid-semiarid ecosystems includes strong correlations between aboveground net primary production (ANPP) and annual precipitation as well as results from experimental water additions. Similarly, there is evidence of N limitation on ANPP in low precipitation ecosystems, but is this a widespread phenomenon? Are all arid-semiarid ecosystems equally limited by nitrogen? Is the response of N fertilization modulated by water availability?We conducted a meta-analysis of ANPP responses to N fertilization across arid to subhumid ecosystems to quantify N limitation, using the effect-size index R which is the ratio of ANPP in fertilized to control plots. Nitrogen addition increased ANPP across all studies by an average of 50%, and nitrogen effects increased significantly (P = 0.03) along the 50-650 mm yr−1 precipitation gradient. The response ratio decreased with mean annual temperature in arid and semiarid ecosystems but was insensitive in subhumid systems. Sown pastures showed significant (P = 0.007) higher responses than natural ecosystems. Neither plant-life form nor chemical form of the applied fertilizer showed significant effects on the primary production response to N addition. Our results showed that nitrogen limitation is a widespread phenomenon in low-precipitation ecosystems and that its importance increases with annual precipitation from arid to subhumid regions. Both water and N availability limit primary production, probably at different times during the year; with frequency of N limitation increasing and frequency of water limitation decreasing as annual precipitation increases. Expected increase N deposition, which could be significant even in arid ecosystems, would increase aboveground net primary production in water-limited ecosystems that account for 40% of the terrestrial surface.  相似文献

Trends of biomass production and land processes in the Sahel have been widely studied since the droughts of 1970s. Satellite data have been an important source of information because of limited in situ data. Previous studies relied on the assumed existence of a relationship between vegetation productivity and the NDVI, in particular the annually integrated NDVI (iNDVI). This study examines this assumption and its limitations, based on in situ time series measurements of biomass, species composition, NDVI and soil moisture at the Dahra test site in northern Senegal. It is shown that, there are large differences between the NDVI – vegetation productivity relationships, and these differences can be linked to species composition. There is moderate correlation between NDVI and above-ground net primary productivity (ANPP) at the peak season (r2 = 0.39). In particular, the species Zornia glochidiata is characterized by high peak NDVI and low ANPP, compared to other common species such as Cenchrus biflorus and Aristida adscensionis. It is concluded that spatial and temporal variations in species dominance is likely to add noise to the relationship between NDVI and biomass. However, the seasonal cyclic fraction of the NDVI – “small seasonal integral” – reduces such noise.  相似文献

A method is introduced for the analysis of temporal distributions of climatic data based on a comparison of a variable's frequency distribution in the time dimension to a standard bell-shaped curve through time. The following statistics are defined using mean monthly snowfall data: the temporal mean, which is the average time for accumulation of 50% of the annual snowfall total; the temporal standard deviation, which characterizes the mean annual spread of snowfall accumulation about the mean; temporal skewness, which characterizes the symmetry of the annual snowfall distribution; temporal kurtosis, which measures the peakedness of the annual distribution; and temporal correlation, which quantifies the degree of association between two temporal distributions. Analysis of snowfall data demonstrates the utility of temporal statistics for quantifying temporal and geographic variations in a climatic variable's seasonal distribution. 本文利用1906-2015年武汉月平均最高与最低气温资料,重建了过去110年武汉市年平均气温距平序列,分析了其年代际尺度的变化特征。主要结论为:①过去110年武汉市经历了“暖—冷—暖”3个多年代际波动,其中1906-1946年与1994-2015年气候相对温暖,1947-1993年则气候相对寒冷;②在多年代尺度上,武汉市存在多次显著增温和降温过程,其中增温速率最快的30年和50年分别出现在1980-2009年和1960-2009年;最快降温速率则出现在1928-1957年和1925-1974年;③过去110年武汉市年均温发生了3次跃变,其中由冷转暖的跃变出现在20世纪20年代初和90年代中后期,而由暖转冷的跃变则出现在40年代;④武汉市年均温变化与全球/北半球和中国的变化趋势基本一致,但变幅偏大。此外,全球增暖停滞现象在武汉市最近十几年也有所体现。  相似文献

近年来,土地利用/覆被变化的水文效应研究已成为国际的前沿和重点。在大理河流域,LUCC(包括水土保持措施)对水循环和水量平衡产生了深远影响,该流域LUCC水文效应的研究势在必行。根据研究区1990年代三期土地利用数据分析了LUCC的时空变化特征,采用特征变量时间序列法及降水-径流模型对LUCC水文效应进行了研究。结果表明:流域土地利用类型以耕地和草地为主,近10年来,耕地和草地面积有所减少,而林地和建设用地面积持续增加;流域年径流和月径流演化过程均表现出明显的下降趋势;LUCC及水土保持具有减少流域年径流、汛期流量以及增加枯季流量的作用,相对于降水因素,人类活动对流域水文的作用占主导地位;在1990~2000年期间,主要由LUCC引起的年均径流减少量达2616.6×104 m3,占该期间实测减水总量的62.19%。  相似文献

To reveal the changing trend and annual distribution of the surface water hydrology and the local climate in the Bayanbuluk alpine-cold wetlands in the past 50 years, we used temperature, precipitation, different rank precipitation days, evaporation, water vapor pressure, relative humidity, dust storm days and snow depth to analyze their temporal variations. We conclude that there were no distinct changes in annual mean temperature, and no obvious changes in the maximum or minimum temperatures. Precipitation in warm season was the main water source in the wetlands of the study area and accounted for 92.0% of the annual total. Precipitation dropped to the lowest in the mid-1980s in the past 50 years and then increased gradually. The runoff of the Kaidu River has increased since 1987 which has a good linear response to the annual precipitation and mean temperature in Bayanbuluk alpine-cold wetland. Climate change also affected ecosystems in this area due to its direct relations to the surface water environment.  相似文献

Our study was focused on the effect of abandonment on above-ground biomass and net primary productivity (ANPP) in a Montado in Southern Portugal. The Montado has a long history of human management and control of invasion by shrubs is achieved by clearing, ploughing and grazing. When these cease, it is invaded by Mediterranean matorral species. We hypothesized that the change in life form dominance would affect both biomass and productivity, but while the total biomass was expected to increase, the effects on ANPP were less clear. We tested our hypothesis by determining above-ground biomass and ANPP along a gradient of decreasing land use intensity, ranging from extensive grazing to 20 years of abandonment.Above-ground biomass increased with abandonment, which was related with the increase in shrub cover. In addition, we found a decrease in herbaceous ANPP that was more than compensated by an increase in shrub ANPP in plots abandoned for longer time, resulting in a significant increase in total ANPP. This increase was strongly related with the increase in the cover of Cistus ladanifer, a pioneer species that colonises degraded areas and forms one of the first stages of succession of woody communities.  相似文献

基于珠三角地区98 个同点位土样,探讨了土壤Cd含量的时空分布特征及风险管理策略。研究表明,两批次土壤Cd含量富集程度均很高,土壤Cd平均含量C2001C2007 均为0.28 mg/kg,是广东省土壤背景值的5 倍;两者均值多重比较表明,Cd的均值变化达到显著水平。土壤Cd的变异系数分别为0.83 和0.72,暗示了Cd主要来源于人为成因。经估算,土壤Cd 区域性年均累积速率KC2007-C2001KC2012-C2007分别为0.016 和0.014 mg/kg。采用"时空模式"和"空时模式"模型预测土壤Cd含量的时空分布态势,在时间序列资料较少的情形下,"时空模式"预测结果较稳健。2020 年研究区大部分区域土壤Cd有污染,未来的风险管理应对无污染区域采取预防策略;对有污染区域采取控制策略;对重污染区域采取修复策略。  相似文献

Annual above-ground net primary production (ANPP), evapotranspiration (ET) and water use efficiency (WUE) of rangeland have the potential to provide an objective basis for establishing pricing for ecosystem services. To provide estimates of ANPP, we surveyed the biomass, estimated ET and prepared a water use efficiency for dwarf shrublands and arid savanna in the Riemvasmaak Rural Area, Northern Cape, South Africa. The annual production fraction was surveyed in 33 MODIS 1 km2 pixels and the results regressed against the MODIS fPAR product. This regression model was used to predict the standing green biomass (kg DM ha−1) for 2009 (dry year). Using an approach which combines potential evapotranspiration (ET0) and the MODIS fPAR product, we estimated actual evapotranspiration (ETa). These two models (greening standing biomass and ETa) were used to calculate the annual WUE for 2009. WUE was 1.6 kg DM mm−1 ha−1 yr−1. This value may be used to provide an estimate of ANPP in the absence of direct measurements of biomass and to provide a comparison of the water use efficiency of this rangeland with other rangeland types.  相似文献

以嘉陵江的资料为基础,探讨了年径流量的变化及其原因,分析了水土保持措施减少径流的效应。以1956-1980年作为人类活动较弱的“基准期”,而以1981-2000年为人类活动较强的“措施期”,分别给出了回归方程。计算表明,降水减少导致的年减水量占年平均总减水量的84.3%,水利水土保持措施导致的年减水量占年平均总减水量的15.7%。人类活动对年径流的影响是依赖于年降水量的,降水偏少年减水量较大,降水偏多年减水量较小,超过某一临界值之后,年径流量不但不会减少,反而会增加。计算表明,这一临界年降水量为1 000 mm。年径流系数的变化和年径流量的变化相似,1980年以前无趋势性变化,1980年后有减小的趋势。人类活动对年径流系数的影响同样是依赖于年降水量的,降水偏少年径流系数的减小较显著,降水偏多年径流系数的减小不明显,甚至还可能增大。  相似文献

Sheep herd sustainability in Patagonia is limited by reproductive efficiency. As the herds graze on natural vegetation year round, efficiency is constrained by biophysical factors. Our aim was to characterize the environmental controls over effective lambing rate in northwest Patagonia. We related remotely sensed data [surface temperatures and Normal Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), a surrogate for forage availability] and climatic information to lambing rates. A spatial model explained 63% of the variability in mean lambing rate, based on mean annual NDVI and mean spring surface temperature. The relative inter-annual variability in lambing rates was of similar magnitude to that of annual NDVI. Both lambing rate and NDVI were less variable than climatic factors. Two regional temporal models explained approximately 25% of the variability, based on NDVI values representative of ewes’ nutrition during late gestation and lambing. These models predicted, with 65% and 76% accuracy respectively, the occurrence of better-than-average and worse-than-average yearly lambing rates. These results provided insights into the factors limiting reproduction, and they form the basis for important decision tools for ranch managers. Prediction of lambing rates based on remotely sensed data will reduce the uncertainty and risk in sheep production, increasing the economic sustainability of sheep production.  相似文献

The regional spatial and inter-annual response of the Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI, as a proxy for aboveground net primary production) to environmental controls was evaluated in drylands of SE Spain. By means of linear mixed-effects models we found that both the spatial patterns and inter-annual trends of the EVI annual mean were explained by climate variability but clearly modulated by lithology and vegetation. Along the spatial gradient, precipitation increased the EVI mean even compensating for the greater evapotranspiration of warmer sites. Limestones, with high available water content, showed the lowest dependence of EVI mean on precipitation. The greater capacity of scrublands to store and use soil moisture was only evident on marls sites. The observed 2001–2010 trends toward less stressful conditions (precipitation rises and temperature declines) led to EVI mean increases. This EVI mean response was steeper in grasslands, with shallow roots, and marls, with low available water content. The study revealed the importance of analyzing the seasonal timing of trends in Mediterranean drylands, where temperature and precipitation are out of phase. The observed earlier rain-arrival after summer drought and cooler early-autumn, caused very strong EVI increases at the beginning of the growing season that may favor the rest of the season.  相似文献

草原生产力及其对气候变化的响应是全球变化研究的热点。利用ArcGIS插值技术,将蒙古高原32个气象站点数据插值成1°×1°的格点数据,然后利用CENTURY模型模拟了蒙古高原1961—2016年草原地上净初级生产力(ANPP)时空分布特征。结果表明:(1) CENTURY模型模拟的蒙古高原草原ANPP时空分布能够很好地反映该区域草原生产力的变化,草原ANPP分布由北向南,由东向西逐渐减少。(2) 草甸草原和典型草原单产均呈波动下降趋势,草甸草原下降速率较大,荒漠草原单产呈波动上升趋势,草原总产以典型草原最大,荒漠草原面积虽然最大,但总产最低。(3) 降水对草原生产力起主导作用,湿期会有荒漠草原→典型草原→草甸草原的转化,而干期的转化过程正好相反。从暖湿期→冷干期转换时,蒙古草原总产下降幅度最大,相反,则增产幅度最大。  相似文献

The semi-arid forest-steppe ecotone in China is characterized by a patchy pattern of forest and steppe, with forest patches restricted to shady slopes. To address the effect of topography on forest distribution through regulation of available water, we calculated evaporation as a function of slope aspect and inclination. Field vegetation records from randomly selected sites with minimum slope inclination were used to test the simulated forest distribution. Seasonal and diurnal changes of surface soil temperature and moisture of shady and sunny slopes were recorded. Soil water content was measured during two growing seasons on both sunny and shady slopes with the same forest type at three sites located along the mean annual precipitation (MAP) gradient. Evaporation decreases with slope inclination on shady slopes, but increases with inclination on sunny slopes. The shady slope received 35% of the annual direct solar radiation received by the sunny slope when the slope inclination was 25°, and the contrast in annual direct solar radiation between the shady and sunny slopes further widens as slope inclination increases. Steeper shady slopes can support forests in dryer climates, with log-linear regression revealing a minimum slope inclination for forest distribution along the MAP gradient. The simulated minimum slope inclination for forest growth was larger than the observed minimum inclination, and the difference was greater in wetter conditions. A larger forest area fraction was considered to lead to a reduction in soil temperature and evaporation, as verified by soil temperature and moisture records and soil water content measurements. The slope-specific forest distribution in the semi-arid region of China can be explained by a topography-controlled soil water supply. Lower evaporation, resulting from lower direct solar radiation on shady slopes, allows shady slopes to retain a water supply sufficient for sustaining forests, and the existence of forests on shady slopes further reduces evaporation. Different tree species coexist at the xeric timberline due to regulation by slope inclination and aspect.  相似文献

基于山东省21个气象站1961-2011年的气象资料,利用线性趋势、IDW空间插值、Mann-Kendall检验、Fisher最优分割等方法分析了气温和降水的时空变化特征;在此基础上采用Thornthwaite Memorial模型对植被气候生产力的时空演变进行了研究,并探讨了气候生产力对气温和降水的敏感性。结果表明:近51年来山东省普遍增温,倾向率为0.359℃/10a,中部地区升温明显;年降水量在剧烈波动中略呈下降趋势,20世纪80年代降水量的变率较大,山东北部、东部、东南部降水量减少幅度较大。近51年来气候生产力存在较明显波动,总体呈增加趋势,但递增速度不显著,1981-1989年气候生产力最低,2003-2011年达到最高水平;气候生产力由北向南,由西向东逐渐增加,山东西南部气候生产力增加较多。“暖湿型”气候对作物气候生产力有利,气候变暖有利于气候生产力的提高,但降水量少是限制气候生产力的主要因素。  相似文献

基于华东气象站点1961-2005 年逐日最高地面气温资料, 分析了华东高温日数和高温 日平均最高气温的时空动态变化特征。结果表明: 过去45 年间, 华东年均高温日数为15.1 天, 高温日平均最高气温为36.3 oC, 高温以12~15 年为显著振荡周期, 在20 世纪80 年代为 弱负距平, 而在其他时期都为正距平。华东高温日数呈北少南多的空间分布, 高温日平均最 高气温以安徽、浙江和江西较高, 高温过程数是东北部少, 西南部多。高温日数和高温过程 数是以7 月最多, 高温日平均最高气温也是以7 月最高。在21 世纪最初5 年, 站点高温日数 和高温日平均最高气温增加, 4-10 月高温都为正距平, 各级高温过程数总体最多, 各级高温 过程日平均最高气温也最高。  相似文献
