能量位涡度平衡方程及其在暴雨诊断分析中的应用   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
本文从Ertel广义位涡方程和大气总能量概念出发,导出了一个把能量天气学与动力学相结合的新物理量——能量位涡度。文中给出了相当能量位涡度的概念,导出了二者的简化形式,并对它们的物理意义和天气背景作了讨论。从定义入手,推导了能量涡度平衡方程,解释了各项的物理意义。在此基础上结合尺度分离方法,对一次暴雨实例作了能量位涡诊断分析和平衡分析,发现暴雨区与能量位涡正中心相对应,与相当能量位涡负中心也对应。最后还讨论了各个因子对能量位涡的贡献,表明能量位涡能够反映出暴雨所必需的动力场和能量背景场条件,并与水汽通量散度结合对暴雨具有诊断意义。  相似文献

将σ-坐标的运动方程组进行尺度分析,考虑水平尺度为10~3公里的系统,得到一组封闭的简化方程组。在涡度方程中,凸起的地形脊对流场的影响和一固定的气旋式流场相当;在热力学方程中和一固定的高温区相当。因此,引入了地形相当涡度和地形相当温度的概念来近似表示这种影响。当把运动分解为平流变化和调整变化的相互作用来考察,并且平均气流和切变气流均为西风时,调整变化所造成的垂直运动和边界条件的强迫作用相反,有利于保持大尺度运动的准水平性。但在某些特殊条件下,调整变化可和边界的强迫作用相一致,可进一步加强边界条件的影响。  相似文献

近地面层能量不闭合是涡度相关系统观测中普遍存在的难点问题。为了提高涡度相关系统通量观测数据的质量,选取郑州农业气象试验站2009年10月—2010年6月整个冬小麦生长季的通量观测资料,对30 min通量数据进行野点剔除、数据插补和Webb-Pearman-Leuning(WPL)校正等数据预处理。用两种方法(OLS和EBR)评价了该地区麦田生态系统能量平衡状况。结果表明:处理后的数据质量有明显提升,日平均湍流能增加7.09 W·m~(-2),日平均CO2通量减少0.0730 mg·m~(-2)·s~(-1)。农田涡度相关系统观测的能量平衡比率(EBR)日变化规律明显:早晨和傍晚昼夜交替时EBR波动最大,白天能量闭合状况优于夜间;暖季EBR大部分都在1左右浮动,能量平衡闭合程度较高,而冬季能量平衡闭合程度比暖季偏低。能量通量和湍流通量有较强的相关性,决定系数R2=0.8066,能量闭合度为88%,存在能量不闭合现象。  相似文献

文中从柱坐标系下的正压无辐散涡度方程出发,用WKBJ方法求解方程,发现在飓风中存在类似于行星罗斯贝波的涡旋罗斯贝波,这种波的形成主要是由于飓风中基态涡度垂直分量的径向梯度所决定。利用一次飓风过程的精确数值模拟所输出高分辨的资料,计算了飓风中径向涡度梯度的分布,指出这类波动主要存在于眼墙和眼心中。波动结构分析表明,波动能量具有径向频散,这有可能是飓风暖心结构的一种形成机制。最后用波射线法讨论了定常涡旋罗斯贝波的径向频散  相似文献

应用正、斜压涡度拟能方程,对1998年6月3~11日发生在鄂霍次克海的一次阻塞环流进行诊断。结果表明:阻塞区内总涡度拟能和正压涡度拟能具有显著的变化,它清楚地揭示了阻塞过程中酝酿、维持和崩溃阶段中的不同特征,而正、斜压动能所显示的阻塞过程的变化特征则不明显。正、斜压涡度拟能场相互转换及阻塞区内外正、斜压涡度拟能场的净通量机制是鄂霍次克海阻塞环流建立和维持的两项主要因子。其过程是:首先通过斜压涡度拟能净通量机制,使斜压涡度拟能增长;又通过正斜压涡度拟能场的转换机制将增长的斜压涡度拟能转为正压涡度拟能;与此同时,通过正压涡度拟能净通量机制使正压涡度拟能增长。这两种不同的机制相互结合,从而使正压涡度拟能增长和维持,形成阻塞环流。而斜压涡度拟能增长甚微。  相似文献

利用NCEP 0.5°×0.5°每日4次的全球预报场分析资料GFS(Global Forecast System)、日本MTSAT静止红外卫星云图,对2009年第8号台风"莫拉克"在台湾登陆前后的演变特征进行了动力学诊断分析。结果表明:(1)由于近台风中心附近对流层中低层存在切向风大值区中心,使得水平位涡通量散度项在其内侧分布密集。(2)近台风中心低层的负水平位涡通量散度项指向正水平位涡通量散度项,可以很好地示踪台风在海上的移动。(3)p坐标系下的负垂直位涡通量散度密集区可作为分析台风移动的一个重要参考指标。通过涡度方程讨论了决定台风对流层中低层气旋性涡度变化的主要因子,指出南海、华南沿海地区夏季西南气流与台风的耦合对台风结构、路径产生了重要的影响。  相似文献

The energy flux derived from the barotropic vorticity equation differs from that obtained directly from the momentum equation.We re-study this problem raised in the early 1960s.The results show that if the momentum equation is rewritten in such a way that it contains the same conditions as that for the barotropic vorticity equation,then the same form of average energy flux can be obtained for the waves with constant amplitudes.With this new momentum equation,the potential energy of Rossby wave is derived and Lagrangian of nonlinear barotropic vorticity equation can be approximately found with this potential energy.This provides a physical basis for studying the dynamics of nonlinear Rossby wave with the approach of calculus of variation.  相似文献

Based on a barotropic vortex model, generalized energy-conserving equation was derived and two necessary conditions of basic flow destabilization are gained. These conditions correspond to generalized barotropic instability and super speed instability. They are instabilities of vortex and gravity inertial wave respectively. In order to relate to practical situation, a barotropic vortex was analyzed, the basic flow of which is similar to lower level basic wind field of tropical cyclones and the maximum wind radius of which is 500 km. The results show that generalized barotropic instability depending upon the radial gradient of relative vorticity can appear in this vortex. It can be concluded that unstable vortex Rossby wave may appear in barotropic vortex.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the meridional propagation of a forced Rossby wave packet towards a critical layer in a zonal shear flow by solving the linearized barotropic vorticity equation. The forcing is applied north of the critical layer. Two approaches are employed for solving this problem. First, an analytic solution valid for large time is derived, using Fourier and Laplace transform techniques and asymptotic approximations. This solution exhibits the modification due to the wave packet of the solution obtained by Warn and Warn (1976) [Warn, T., Warn H., 1976. On the development of a Rossby wave critical level. J. Atmos. Sci., 33, 2021–2024.] in the monochromatic case. A numerical investigation is then carried out using a finite difference scheme and a time-dependent radiation condition. It is found that the forced wave packet is absorbed at the critical layer and the total momentum transferred to the mean flow as a result of the absorption is observed to be proportional to the length scale of the wave packet. We also consider the case of a north–south mean flow with a longitudinally propagating wave packet forced to the east or west of the critical layer. The monochromatic version of this problem has been used before (Geisler, J.E., Dickinson, R.E., 1975. Critical level absorption of barotropic Rossby waves in a north–south flow. J. Geophys. A complete theory of the linear initial-value problem for Rossby waves on a class of smooth circular vortices in both f-plane and polar-region geometries is presented in the limit of small and large Rossby deformation radius. Although restricted to the interior region of barotropically stable circular vortices possessing a single extrema in tangential wind, the theory covers all azimuthal wavenumbers. The non-dimensional evolution equation for perturbation potential vorticity is shown to depend on only one parameter, G, involving the azimuthal wavenumber, the basic state radial potential vorticity gradient, the interior deformation radius, and the interior Rossby number.In Hankel transform space the problem admits a Schrödinger’s equation formulation which permits a qualitative and quantitative discussion of the interaction between vortex Rossby wave disturbances and the mean vortex. New conservation laws are developed which give exact time-evolving bounds for disturbance kinetic energy. Using results from the theory of Lie groups a nontrivial separation of variables can be achieved to obtain an exact solution for asymmetric balanced disturbances covering a wide range of geophysical vortex applications including tropical cyclone, polar vortex, and cyclone/anticyclone interiors in barotropic dynamics. The expansion for square summable potential vorticity comprises a discrete basis of radially propagating sheared vortex Rossby wave packets with nontrivial transient behavior. The solution representation is new, and for this class of swirling flows gives deeper physical insight into the dynamics of perturbed vortex interiors than the more traditional approach of Laplace transform or continuous-spectrum normal-mode representations. In general, initial disturbances are shown to excite two regions of wave activity. At the extrema of these barotropically stable vortices and for a certain range of wavenumbers, the Rossby wave dynamics are shown to become nonlinear for all initial conditions. In this paper,the continuity and thermodynamic equations including moisture forcings were derived.Using these two equations and the basic momentum equation of local Cartesian coordinates,the budget equation of generalized moist potential vorticity(GMPV) was derived.The GMPV equation is a good generalization of the Ertel potential vorticity(PV) and moist potential vorticity(MPV) equations.The GMPV equation is conserved under adiabatic,frictionless,barotropic,or saturated atmospheric conditions,and it is closely associated with the horizontal frontogenesis and stability of the real atmosphere.A real case study indicates that term diabatic heating could be a useful diagnostic tool for heavy rainfall events.  相似文献

推导得到普遍形式的位涡度守恒方程,其条件是外源G和摩擦F组成的矢量散度为零,放松了位涡守恒的绝热无摩擦限制,对准地转位涡方程,利用WKB近似,得到了层结可变情况下的ROssby波的能量、波作用和拟能守恒的条件,对于空间缓变的基本气流,它们分别是基本气流与空间坐标无关,基本气流与x无关和基本气流是空间坐标的函数。最后还给出了地形存在情况下的Rocsby波的能量、波作用和拟能守恒的条件。  相似文献
