中国科学院紫金山天文台青岛观象台从1996年4月开始到1995年5月1日结束,在138个观测夜,共拍摄Hale-Bopp彗星底片508张。发现:Hale-Bopp彗星在1996年9月24日的一次爆发,1996年10月26日,11月13日的两次可能爆发。在1996年9月23日的底片上,Hale-Bopp呈现巨大的喷流。在1997年2月8日至5月1日期间,Hale-Bopp彗星彗头内存在大量壳层结构。  相似文献

The peculiar nova-like star PU Vul was observed spectroscopically from 1981 Sept 12 to 1983 Dec 11 at Yunnan Observatory and Beijing Observatory. In 1981 Sept, the star showed an absorption spectrum of the Balmer lines, the H,K and D lines, and some FeII, SrII and TiII lines. H was seen in emission in 1982 Oct and Hβ, in 1983 Sept. Both emissions were enhanced in 1983 Oct. and then dimmed since 1983 Nov. On 1983 Dec 11, Hβ might be absent, but the H was still visible. The spectral type was similar to that of an F giant during this period. This object may be an exceptionally slow nova and a binary consisting of an M giant and a hot companion.  相似文献

Using the vector magnetograms observed by SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory)/HMI (Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager), the current distribution and evolution associated with an X9.3 flare occurred in the active region AR12673 on Sept. 6, 2017 are studied in detail. The results show that there is a pair of electric current ribbons with opposite directions and the magnitude of 0.4 A/m2, which can be called a pair of conjugate electric current ribbons. This pair of conjugate electric current ribbons exist before, during, and after the flare; their positions are almost coincident with the two bright ribbons of the flare, and their shapes are also extremely similar with them. The light curve of the total electric current intensity on Sept. 6 shows that the electric current intensity enhanced sharply during the strong X9.3 flare eruption, and this phenomenon persisted for several hours. The results of this study strongly support the model of QSL (Quasi-Separatrix Layer) 3D magnetic reconnection.  相似文献

The powerful cosmic ray flare of Sept. 29, 1989 occurred behind the limb and was observed over a wide spectral range. The analysis of optical, radio, and other relevant data suggest two phases of energy release. After an impulsive phase a prolonged post eruption energy release occurred in an extended region of the corona following the eruption of a large coronal mass ejection (CME). This phase is responsible for numerous coronal and interplanetary phenomena including the ground-level increase of cosmic rays.  相似文献

As Japan’s leading contribution to the International Heliophysical Year (IHY), the Space Environment Research Center (SERC) of Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan is in the process of deploying globally 50 state-of-the-art magnetometers. In this brief article, we outline our progress to date (23 Sept 2007). Mutual events between natural satellites include mutual occultation and mutual eclipse. Mutual eclipse is another kind of mutual occultation as viewed from the center of the Sun instead of the Earth. Two mutual eclipses of J2 Europa by J1 Io (2009 Aug. 28 and Sept. 12) were observed at Yunnan Observatory during the PHEMU09 international campaign. We analyze large-scale H-alpha movies of the large spot group of Sept. 13–26, 1963, together with radio, ionospheric and magnetic field data as well as white light pictures. The evolution of the group and associated magnetic fields is followed, and the positions of solar flares relative to the fields are noted, along with their morphology. Although the magnetic field is deformed in time, characteristic field structures may be traced through the deformation as the seat of recurrent homologous flares.We find that most flares are homologous, and some are triggered by disturbances elsewhere in the region. We note events produced by surges falling back to the surface, and one flare initiated by a bright bead seen to fly across the region. In almost every case of an isolated type III radio burst, a corresponding H-alpha brightening could be found, but not all flares produced bursts. Flares close to the sunspots are most likely to produce radio bursts. Flare surface waves in the region all travel out to the west, because of more open magnetic field structure there. In one case (Sept. 25) a wave is turned back by the closed field structure to the east.In almost all cases the time association of radio or ionospheric events is with the beginning of the flare or with the flash phase.Several morphological classes of flares are noted as recurrent types.  相似文献

This paper summarizes the analysis of the radio observations of the solar eclipse at wavelengths 3.2, 11.1 and 21 cm in Xinjiang, on 1968 Sept. 22. From the observations, we have determined the flux densities, angular diameters and heights of the localized radio sources on the solar disk, circumstances of the radio eclipse, equivalent radius of the radio Sun and certain features of a small radio burst that occurred during the eclipse. We have also investigated the correlation between the flux density of the localized sources and the activity of the active regions, as measured by the integrated brightness of plages and the sunspot area.  相似文献

Since Sept. 26, 1997, the Scripps Experimental Climate Prediction Center (ECPC) has been making experimental, near real-time seasonal global forecasts. Images of these forecasts, at daily to seasonal time scales, are provided on the World Wide Web, and experimental digital forecast products are made available to international collaborators. Over Asia, these experimental forecasts are now being used to drive regional prediction and various application models at National Taiwan University (NTU) and the Hong Kong Observatory. Roads et al. [Bull. Am. Meteorol. Soc. 82 (2001) 639] and Terra Chen et al. [Atmos. Oceanogr. Sci. 12 (2003a) 377] previously discussed the basic forecast and analysis system. The purpose of this paper is to discuss specific synoptic characteristics of recent seasonal forecasts as a guide to further application and development.  相似文献

本文研究了1979年9月19日3B级耀斑金属谱线的不对称性和线心位移.结果表明:强金属线红不对称占主要地位,少数弱金属线也有蓝不对称存在;不对称程度极大发生于线心强度极大之前;不对称性有时可由蓝变红;不管不对称程度如何,线心的位移却很小,总体上仅表现为极微弱的蓝移.文中认为,耀斑爆发时色球压缩区的向下扩展及由此引起的温度极小区上下的物质运动这个动力学过程可基本解释这些观测现象.金属线的研究是对H_α和CaIIK线光谱研究的补充.  相似文献

We use 130 years data for studying correlative effects due to solar cycle and activity phenomena on the occurrence of rainfall over India. For the period of different solar cycles, we compute the correlation coefficients and significance of correlation coefficients for the seasonal months of Jan–Feb (JF), Mar–May (MAM), June–Sept (JJAS) and Oct–Dec (OND) and,annual mean data. We find that: (i) with a moderate-to-high significance, Indian rainfall is correlated with the sunspot activity and, (ii) there is an overall trend that during the period of low sunspot activity, occurrence of rainfall is high compared to the period of high sunspot activity. We speculate in this study a possible physical connection between the occurrence of the rainfall and the sunspot activities and, the flux of galactic cosmic rays. Some of the negative correlations between the occurrences of the sunspot and rainfall activities obtained for different solar cycle periods are interpreted as effects of aerosols on the rain forming clouds due to either intermittent volcanic eruptions or due to intrusion of interstellar dust particles in the Earth’s atmosphere.  相似文献

The large Area Detectors (LADs) of the BATSE experiment aboard the Compton Gamma-ray Observatory have been used recently as the first hard X-ray all-sky imager at energies between 20 keV and 300 keV. The Earth occultation process is formulated in terms of a curved Radon transform convoluted by a step transform in a selected field of view (FOV) ranging from 5°×5° to 40°×40°. The Maximum Entropy Method is then used to reconstruct an image in the hard X-ray sky. Multiple images of different regions of the sky can be produced simultaneously.
