中国大陆东部新构造期北西向断裂带的初步探讨   总被引:14,自引:0,他引:14  
前人对中国大陆东部新构造期 (N—Q)活动的北东向断裂 (带 )已有很多研究。笔者根据地震构造、新构造和火山活动等资料并结合Pn波速结构研究结果 ,分析了该区新构造期的北西向活动断裂 ,初步得出 :北西向断裂具有成带性 ,可分 7条北西向断裂带 ;它们有鲜明的新生性 ;均为地壳构造带 ;与北东向断裂带呈共轭关系 ,是在先存构造基础上于新构造应力场作用下正在发育的一套地壳共轭剪切破裂系统。  相似文献

台湾海峡地区横向构造及其对东南沿海地震的作用   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
台湾海峡两岸存在一系列断续分布、横贯台湾海峡的NW向断裂,研究表明为一系列具有走滑运动的横向构造,根据地壳运动、区域变形和断裂特征分为巴士断裂带、台中-晋江断裂带和宁德-三貂角断裂带。中部的台中-晋江断裂带是一条控制地壳运动南北差异的重要分界断裂,断裂带以北的东南沿海北部和台湾北部地壳整体向东运动,与琉球俯冲带右行走滑运动方向基本相同,形成一致的变形取向;断裂带以南处于华南地块与菲律宾海板块相向运动挤压变形环境,地壳变形比北部强烈。东南沿海地震强度增强趋势、地震南强北弱与该应变场和横向走滑有关:(1)由于该断裂以南比以北地区应力应变场变化大,多场耦合复杂,耦合程度降低,造成蠕动变形不均产生应力闭锁,孕育地震发生。(2)福建东部比台湾海峡地壳均一性差、地球物理场变化明显,组成更为复杂的多元、多场耦合,耦合场稳定性差,容易受横向构造活动干扰,产生弹性变形而孕育地震强度增强。  相似文献

在系统总结活动断裂遥感影像解译标志的基础上,利用Landsat ETM、Google Earth及ASTER GDEM等影像资料,结合前人研究成果,重点分析了龙门山构造带南段主要活动断裂的空间展布及几何学与运动学特征。研究结果表明,龙门山构造带在向南延伸过程中发生了明显的断裂分散现象,整个断裂带逐渐展宽,主要包括5条断裂带且其中包含多条次级断裂,至最南端被北西向鲜水河左旋走滑断裂带阻挡。其中活动性较为明显的断裂自西向东主要有4条:泸定断裂、天全断裂、芦山断裂和大邑-名山断裂,前两者是北川-映秀断裂的南延分支,而后两者是安县-灌县断裂的南延部分。由于龙门山构造带南段的构造变形被分解至多条次级断裂上,导致单条断裂错断地表的活动迹象明显变弱,因此单条断裂的潜在发震频率和强度也将相应变小,但潜在震源区会更为分散。结合已有的地震地质资料认为,未来应注意泸定和雅安2个地区的地壳稳定性及未来强震危险性问题。   相似文献

大陆内部构造变形和地震活动往往突显出复杂的、区域性的特征,很难用板块构造理论来解释。青藏高原是大陆构造变形的典型实例,具有不同构造变形的分区特征,不仅表现在物质组成、地形地貌和断裂组合等方面的不同,而且还表现出不同的地震活动特征。东昆仑断裂带以北的青藏高原北部地块,主要发育一系列挤压环境下的盆岭构造,表现为以连续变形为特征的上地壳挤压缩短变形;高原中北部巴颜喀拉地块,具有整体向东运动的特点,变形主要集中在其边缘,表现为刚性块体运动特征。在东部,由于稳定的四川盆地(扬子地块)的阻挡,位于龙日坝和龙门山断裂带之间相对坚硬的龙门山地区受到东西向强烈挤压,西部边界为伸展变形;在高原中央腹地羌塘地块西部,由于上地壳物质在向东挤出的驱动下不断变形,沿一系列小型正断层和走滑断层以伸展变形为主,表现为弥散型变形特征。相比之下,羌塘地块的东部向东-南东方向挤出,在大型走滑断层之间形成一个刚性块体;高原南部地块以东西向伸展的南北向裂谷系为主要变形特征,高原南缘以南北向挤压的大型逆冲断裂系为特征。历史地震和仪器记录的大地震(M≥8)只发生在高原东北和东南部的大型走滑带,以及东部和南部边缘的大型逆冲断裂上,沿后者更为频发。到目前为止,高原其他地区只发生了8级以下地震。青藏高原这种分区域的地壳变形形式和地震活动分布是大陆构造变形的重要特征。  相似文献

活动断裂带强烈复杂的构造运动会对地壳岩体产生不同程度的损伤,这些损伤能够显著影响地震破裂、地貌演化和地质灾害等地质过程,并对工程岩体稳定有较大影响,但目前鲜见对大型活动断裂地壳岩体构造损伤的深入研究。本文首次提出地壳岩体构造损伤的科学概念,揭示其具有不可逆性、累积性、非均匀性与愈合性。通过对青藏高原东缘鲜水河断裂带等6条主要活动断裂带大范围岩体露头的实测分析,采用构造结构面面密度作为表征构造损伤的定量指标,将断裂带地壳岩体划分为损伤带与围岩,测得最宽损伤带达3100 m。分析了地壳岩体损伤分布特征、变形破裂特征和损伤分布影响因素,取得如下认识:(1)损伤带主要沿活动性较强的主断裂分布,其内部具有高、低损伤区交替的分区损伤特征;(2)损伤带与围岩岩体分别表现为高应变速率与低应变速率状态下脆性损伤特征,损伤带的形成与断裂近期区域应力场密切相关;(3)表征断层发展阶段的累积位移量控制损伤带的总体规模,而其局部变化主要受控于断裂的几何展布与岩石性质;(4)提出了典型活动断裂带地壳岩体构造损伤模式。研究成果可为地震动力学、构造地貌、地质灾害和大型工程建设等提供约束地壳岩体结构的科学证据,有助于深化对活动断裂带地壳岩体力学环境的认识和理解。  相似文献

在分析研究青藏高原东北缘地震、地震形变带及活动断裂带的基础上,确定了NNW向最新活动构造体系。该体系的主体构造是由一系列呈NNW向相间展布的现代隆起带和沉降带组成。青藏高原东北缘最新构造变形是该构造体系活动的结果。另外,还对体系的变形特征及"敏感点"进行了较详细的探讨。   相似文献

对川东-湘鄂西断褶带内鄂西地区的弧形构造,从构造剖面特征、叠加褶皱样式和断裂性质入手进行几何学和运动学分析。结果发现鄂西弧形构造具有多期变形特征:早期普遍为北东东向的直线型褶皱,随着弧形带扩展,在东、西两翼分别发育右行和左行的逆冲-走滑断裂,同时分别形成北北东向和北西西向的弧形褶皱。晚期弧形带中部发育北北东向构造并叠加改造了早期北东东和北西西向褶皱,同时在黄陵背斜以西还发育交切早期构造的北北西向仙女山右行走滑断裂。根据弧形带扩展的几何学-运动学分类原则,并结合前人的古地磁研究结果,推测鄂西弧形构造应属于构造弯曲形成的弯曲弧。区域滑脱层和黄陵隆起阻挡可能是控制弧形样式的主要原因。区域滑脱层控制了拆离滑脱褶皱的构造样式; 黄陵基底隆起的阻挡作用使弧形带东翼进一步弯曲变形,并导致了构造应力场方向发生改变,造成了晚期北北东向与早期北东东向构造的叠加。由此恢复的鄂西弧形构造变形过程对于揭示川东-湘鄂西断褶带构造演化具有重要的指示意义。  相似文献

根据龙门山构造带的地震地质特征、地震活动规律及新构造活动特征,认为该地区区域稳定性受控于龙门山断裂带,而断裂带又以韧性切变形为主,蠕滑运动为特征,这决定了该带在相当长一段时间内,发生强烈地震的可能性不大。  相似文献

New seismicity and focal-mechanism data from the area of the Azores Islands, in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, to the Alboran Sea and the southern part of Spain are presented.As a consequence of the different characters in the focal-mechanism solutions and b-values associated, the area has been divided in four different parts, namely, Mid-Atlantic and Terceira Ridge, Azores—Gibraltar fault, Gulf of Cadiz, Alboran Sea and Betica. The last two form the interaction between the Eurasian and African continental plates.The fracture zone is the locus of very large earthquakes with mechanisms showing a predominant right-lateral horizontal motion. Seismic foci in the continental interaction zone are spread over the whole region with mechanisms changing in character from west to east. It is suggested that this may be consequence of the behaviour of the Spanish Peninsula as a partly independent subplate. In the eastern part of the studied zone, the so-called Alboran plate may be considered as a buffer plate.  相似文献

研究目的】四川省雷波县至云南省永善县是寒武系麦地坪组磷矿聚集区,含磷地层的研究不仅有助于深入分析磷矿形成的古地理环境及其变化特征,而且结合构造背景的研究,可研究磷矿形成分布规律,为磷矿的开发提供理论依据。【研究方法】以岩心编录及剖面测量为基础,研究了雷波地区麦地坪组含磷层系厚度、岩性、沉积相、沉积模式、构造背景、盆地性质、磷矿成因机制、磷块岩岩石学特征及其变化等。【研究成果】阐明了雷波地区麦地坪组在50km范围内,岩性、岩相的巨大差异以及磷块岩特征,指出雷波地区在麦地坪组沉积时期呈隆、凹相间的格局,缺失浅水陆棚相。白云岩相区属潮坪相,是磷矿聚集的有利地段。硅质岩属深水陆棚相,是火山活动形成的热水作用成因。磷矿的聚集是硅质岩相区火山活动,生物发育,高温洋流由下向上运动,携带生物遗体分解的高P2O5浓度海水在凹陷区两侧白云岩相区沉积和改造的结果。从大地构造背景、盆地性质、磷质来源、磷的迁移、沉淀、富集阐述了磷矿成矿作用机制,提出雷波地区磷矿是多种因素作用形成,建立了相应的磷矿成矿模式。【结论】发现揭示了新元古代末期至寒武纪早期,裂谷盆地发育的晚期阶段,一种新的磷成矿作用——隆、凹相间的古地理格局及微弱的火山活动,在空间上有效配置,并由此提出在凹陷两侧白云岩相区寻找磷矿的预测评价新思路,指出针对麦地坪组磷矿找矿的新方向,在找矿空间可由凹陷区向四周拓展。  相似文献

Indian peninsular shield, which was once considered to be seismically stable, is experiencing many earthquakes recently. As part of the national level microzonation programme, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India has initiated microzonation of greater Bangalore region. The seismic hazard analysis of Bangalore region is carried out as part of this project. The paper presents the determination of maximum credible earthquake (MCE) and generation of synthetic acceleration time history plot for the Bangalore region. MCE has been determined by considering the regional seismotectonic activity in about 350 km radius around Bangalore city. The seismotectonic map has been prepared by considering the faults, lineaments, shear zones in the area and historic earthquake events of more than 150 events. Shortest distance from the Bangalore to the different sources is measured and then peak ground acceleration (PGA) is calculated for the different source and moment magnitude. Maximum credible earthquake found in terms of moment magnitude is 5.1 with PGA value of 0.146 g at city centre with assuming the hypo central distance of 15.88 km from the focal point. Also, correlations for the fault length with historic earthquake in terms of moment magnitude, yields (taking the rupture fault length as 5% of the total fault length) a PGA value of 0.159 g. Acceleration time history (ground motion) and a response acceleration spectrum for the corresponding magnitude has been generated using synthetic earthquake model considering the regional seismotectonic parameters. The maximum spectral acceleration obtained is 0.332 g for predominant period of 0.06 s. The PGA value and synthetic earthquake ground motion data from the identified vulnerable source using seismotectonic map will be useful for the PGA mapping and microzonation of the area.  相似文献

青藏高原及邻区三角形发震构造域是全球大陆最显著的地震多发区.脆性活动断层及其弹性回跳模式无法合理解释该区深度集中分布在10~40 km的点状震源.针对发震构造和地震机理不明确这一重大科学问题, 以大陆动力学和地球系统动力学新思想为指导, 对青藏高原及邻区发震构造系统进行域、层、带、点相关研究, 阐明大陆地震构造系统的结构型式, 认为下地壳固态流变及其韧性剪切带是提供地震能量的孕震构造, 中地壳韧-脆性剪切带是累积地震能量的发震构造, 上地壳脆性断裂是释放地震能量的释震构造.在研究青藏高原及邻区地震构造系统及其形成背景的基础上, 进一步论证了大陆地震热流体撞击的形成机理: 地幔墙导致大洋中脊之下的软流圈热流物质层流到大陆特定部位汇聚加厚并底辟上升, 造成大陆下地壳部分熔融和固态流变, 并改变莫霍面的产状, 固态流变物质侧向非均匀流动, 形成大陆盆山体系, 流动的韧性下地壳与脆性上地壳之间具有韧-脆性剪切滑脱性质的中地壳不断积累由下地壳热能转换而来的应变能, 形成发震层, 震源定位于下地壳热流物质富集带("热河")中的固态-半固态流变物质撞击到强弱层块之间的构造边界, 不同热构造环境和撞击角度产生5种不同类型的地震.从而为大陆地震的科学预测奠定了全新的理论基础.   相似文献

The integrated analysis of geological, seismological and field observations with lineament data derived from satellite images allows the identification of a possible seismogenic fault zone for an earthquake which occurred near Etne in southwestern Norway, on 29 February 1989. The hypocentre of the earthquake was located at the mid-crust at a depth of 13.8±0.9 km which is typical of small intraplate earthquakes. The Etne earthquake occurred as a result of normal faulting with a dextral strike-slip component on a NW–SE trending fault. Available geological and lineament data indicate correlation of the inferred seismogenic fault with the NW–SE trending Etne fault zone. An aeromagnetic anomaly related to the Etne fault zone forms a regional feature intersecting both Precambrian basement and allochthonous Caledonian rocks. Based on these associations the occurrence of the Etne event is ascribed to the reactivation of a zone of weakness along the Etne fault zone. Slope-instabilities developed in the superficial deposits during the Etne event demonstrate the existence of potentially hazardous secondary-effects of such earthquakes even in low seismicity areas such as southwestern Norway.  相似文献

四川雷波抓抓岩五峰组上部硅质岩含丰富的放射虫化石,表明晚奥陶世五峰期富硅质海水随着第二次海侵进入到扬子克拉通,进而证明了扬子西缘康滇古陆与川中古隆起间存在水道与巴颜喀拉海相通。在分析抓抓岩剖面五峰组沉积序列的基础上,通过含放射虫硅质岩的区域对比,清理了该时期各地区岩性岩相组合及地层接触关系,恢复了中上扬子地区晚奥陶世五峰期的古环境。  相似文献

四川雷波地区磷矿属于中国昆阳式海相沉积型磷矿,赋存于下寒武统梅树村阶麦地坪组地层中。通过野外实测剖面,重点研究其岩石学和沉积相特征,在矿集区建立了潮坪沉积体系,判断麦地坪组以潮下带沉积为主,潮间带和潮上带沉积不发育,总体表现为海侵-海退-海侵的垂向沉积组合。沉积相在矿集区呈环带状分布,磷矿层厚度与地层厚度大体呈正相关关系。磷矿床的岩相古地理类型直接影响了磷质颗粒的物理富集过程,其中潮下高能带为磷矿沉积的最有利相带,是今后勘探开发的重点区域。  相似文献

Strong seismic events once again confirm the view that great destructive earthquakes are produced by the reactivation of pre-existing faults although they have usually remained inactive for many, perhaps thousands of years. It is evident that such active seismogenic zones, with little or no seismicity, have presumably been ignored in the determination of the region's seismic hazard. At south Peloponnesus, Greece, is situated at Taygetos mountain. At its eastern front lies a large normal fault system, the southern segment being the Sparta fault. This area has been characterized by low seismicity for the last 25 centuries. However, during the 6th and 5th centuries B.C. several destructive earthquakes have been reported. That of 464 B.C., was the most destructive and devastated the city of Sparta. Detailed morphotectonic observations of this area, suggest that the earthquake of 464 B.C. could be related to the most recent reactivation of this fault. The ground accelerations that would be produced by a future activation of the Sparta fault, were calculated, by applying a method which takes into account information mainly from the seismotectonic parameters of the Sparta fault, the rupture pattern, the properties of the propagation medium and the local ground conditions. Moreover, these results were compared with those of other independent studies based mainly on the seismic data of the area. This method estimated greater expected values of ground acceleration than those computed by the conventional seismic hazard methods. The highest values correspond to the activation of the Sparta fault either in a unilateral rupture, which would start from the southernmost point of the fault, or in a circular one. Furthermore, an increase is observed of the order of 50% in the ground acceleration values in unconsolidated soft ground in relation to the corresponding values of hard ground. The P-wave velocity structure in the shallow crust is investigated in and around the Sulu-Dabie region by using seismic reflection data for deep soundings in 48 survey profiles and from rock velocity determinations. The observed velocity distributions show obvious heterogeneities in this region. The low velocity anomalies are observed mainly in the west of the Dabie region and the East Sea regions. The high velocity anomalies emerge in the shallow crust of the Sulu and Dabie orogeny. These high-velocity anomalies can be attributed to the ultra-high pressure metamorphosed (UHPM) rock formed by exhumation motion of mantle materials during the orogeny. The high-velocity anomalies in the different shallow layers beneath the Sulu region are located to the northeast of the Tan-Lu fault. The high-velocity anomalies beneath the Dabie region are located southwest of the Tan-Lu fault. Such a distribution pattern of velocity anomaly zones may reveal historical motion of a left-lateral strike-slip for the Tan-Lu fault, which differs from the result of a right-lateral strike-slip motion regime known from modern seismology, indicating a more complex tectonic motion along the Tan-Lu fault.  相似文献

During 3 weeks in 1985, we operated a dense network of portable seismological stations around the city of Thessaloniki, in Northern Greece, where a destructive earthquake had occurred in 1978. We recorded 282 microearthquakes, with magnitudes ranging between -0.2 to 3.0, and we computed 22 Fault Plane Solutions. The experiment was designed to map the stress pattern west of the 1978 shock, and to study the Asvestohorio fault. Around this fault, located near Thessaloniki, Mercier et al. (1983) observed a few cracks during the 1978 shock. The seismicity shows the same scattered pattern seen through the whole Chalkidiki region. We observe also a dense cluster around Asvestohorio, but this cluster is probably related to explosions in nearby mines. After filtering the data from possible explosions we found evidence of seismic activity. The earthquakes are dipping toward the NE, suggesting that the Asvestohorion fault is active. The Fault Plane Solutions do not help in defining the geometry of the fault but the P and T-axes are consistent with the regional stress pattern.  相似文献
