| Abstract: | Based on the explaining of the sport satelite data of France, we made a on-the-spot survey on the region belongs to the northern flank of Du-shanzi anticline and determined 7 active faults in the mean time. The study on the paleoearthquakes and active faults indicated that the region along the western piedmont of North Tianshan is probably a potential earthquake zone. |
