试析腾越海关与近代滇缅贸易

腾越自古就是滇缅贸易的重要口岸,地理位置优越。随着1902年腾越海关的设立,促使近代滇缅贸易发生了重大变化,对滇西社会经济的发展具有深远影响。本文分析了腾越关设立的背景原因、机构沿革和近代滇缅贸易的兴衰,着重分析了腾越关和近代滇缅贸易的特点及影响,认为近代滇缅贸易既有体现帝国主义经济掠夺的一面,也有滇缅双方互补互利的一面。近代滇缅贸易的发展,导致滇西自然经济逐步解体,被纳入资本主义的世界大市场;商品经济有一定发展,商业资本积累,同时带动了资本主义近代工业的缓慢发展。对今天研究滇西经济和口岸开放有参考意义。

ANALYSIS ON TENGYUE CUSTOM AND PRE-MODERN YUNNAN-BURMA TRADE

Based on its superior location, Tengyue has been a very important gate of Yunnan-Burma trade since antient time. Great changes took place on pre-modern Yunnan-Burma trade after the custom of Tengyue was founded in 1902. Particularly, the social economy of west Yunnan has been profoundly affcted since then. In this paper, the background of the foundation of Tengyue Custom, its progress and the pre-modern history of Yunnan-Burma trade is analysed. The character of Tengyue Custom and its effects on Pre-modern Yunnan-Burma trade is carefully studied. It is regarded that two aspects emerged from the pre-modern Yunnan-Burma trade: one hand, this kind of trade was the economic robbery of capitalism; on the other hand, Yunnan and Burma benifited each other through the trade. As a result of the pre-modern Yunnan-Burma trade, the natural economy of west Yunnan collapsed and was taken into the world capitalist markert. Moreover, the improving of market economy and the addition of capital gave rise to the pre-modern capitalist industry. This gives significant help to the research of economy and opening in west Yunnan.
