Abstract: | The baroclinic tide in the Strait of Bab el Mandeb is simulated by solving a three-dimensional boundary-value problem in boundary-fitted coordinates for the equations of dynamics, density constituents, and turbulence characteristics. Results related to simulations of the barotropic tide in the Red Sea and to the internal tide in the Strait of Bab el Mandeb are presented. |
