On leaching lime and calcite from calcined calcareous phosphate with triammonium citrate solution

Silverman solution, 0.5 $\text{M}$ triammonium citrate, was used successfully for leaching the free CaO in the calcined calcareous phosphate and proved to be efficient. The extractant solution was evaporated to dryness and then heated in a muffle furnace at 1000°C and tested to be phosphate free. Separation of solids and fine particles in the leaching solution by a centrifugation technique was necessary for the removal of fine phosphate particles present in the solution.
