Abstract:Based on the arrangement about the across-fault crustal deformation measurement data along north edge of Qinghai-Xizang block, we divide the reliable deformation data into different kinds, and probe into varies fault motion nature of them. The recent situation of tectonic movement of main structural belt and seismicity in this area are exponded. From above all, it is concluded that across-fault measurement can reflect not only the condition of fault movement nearby, but also the change of region stress field; not only is a method to obtain regional seismogenic message and conduct short range prediction, but also carry on larger scale space time prediction of moderately strong earthquake on the basis of the macro-change characteristic of fracture.
