摘    要:航卫片解译及野外实地调查结果表明,在错那、哲古错、穷结之间展布有一条北北西向的全新世活动断裂。在北北东向的主压应力场作用下,错那一哲古错断裂表现为右旋剪切运动性质。通过对历史地震资料较详细的研究和祖略的野外地震地质调查,笔者认为,1806年西藏错那7(1/2)级地震应为错那一哲古错断裂的右旋错动所致。

Abstract:The achievements from explanation of satellite and air photoes and investigation in field show that a Holocene active fault with NNW strike extends from Cuona to Zegucuo which is dextral lat eral shear motion under the NNE main pressure in recent stress field. Therefore, the Cuona earthquake with magnitude 7(1/2)in Tibet in 1806 should be produced by the dextral - lateral motion of the fault from Cuona to Zegucuo based on the detailed study of materials of historic earthquake and superficial seismic geological investigation in field.
