贵州贞丰发现中三叠世早期恐龙遗迹

五趾型恐龙行走遗迹化石产于中三叠统关岭组下部具干裂纹的泥质白云岩层面上,出露面积近100m~2。共有数十对恐龙足迹,组成三组不同方向的步迹。第一组有前后掌足迹,二、三组只有后掌足迹,说明该恐龙既可以四肢行走,也可只用后肢行走。层面虽剥开30多年,遗迹仍保存十分完好。笔者建议把遗迹化石点建成贵州西部旅游线上一个内容独特的地质旅游观光点。

THE DISCOVERY OF EARLY MIDDLE TRIASSIC DINOSAUR TRACE FOSSILS IN ZHENFENG,GUIZHOU

Five-toe dinosaur trail fossils occur on the bedding surface of muddy dolomite with drying cracks in the lower part of the Middle Triassic Guan- ling Formattion,having an outcropping area of nearly 100m~2.There are a few dozens of pairs of dinosaur tracks,making up three groups of trails of differ- ent directions.The first group includes tracks of front and rear feet and the second and third groups only possess tracks of the rear foot,indicating that the dinosaur was able to walk on four limbs and also merely on its rear limb. The tracks are still in perfect preservation though the surface of the dolomite has been stripped for more than 30 years.The authors propose that the occur- rence of trace fossils should be built into a peculiar geological tourist site on the tourist line of western Guizhou.
