| Abstract: | This paper describes in some detail the successfull application of ground deformation monitoring of the Xintan landslip and the timely prediction before the impending slide, and based on this, discusses the following problems, such as the distribution of observation points for ground deformation monitoring, choice of observational methods and setting up of monitoring systems. |
