Abstract: | Partial ionisation of a gas allows there to be anisotropies in the electrical conductivity in the presence of a magnetic field. The components of the conductivity tensor are calculated using the data from three sunspot models. The largest component of electrical resistivity is found to be at least an order of magnitude smaller than the thermal diffusivity in the same region. |
