Research on the Topographic Differentiation Rule of the Loess Plateau Based on Geostatistics

Geostatistical analysis is an important method of studying the regionalized variables.In this paper,taking the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi as the research area,we used the method that combining the digital terrain analysis with the geostatistical analysis to research the spatial differentiation rules of terrain.We selected seven sample areas including Shenmu,Suide,Yanchuan,Ganquan,Yijun,Changwu,Chunhua,and analyzed the spatial differentiation rules of elevation,slope,profile curvature and surface curvature in the Loess Plateau from the range value,the partial sill and the nugget value.The results show that the nugget value change of the elevation positive correlates with terrain roughness,the range change of the slope is negatively related to the roughness,and the nugget value change of the profile curvature is consistent with roughness.The terrain of the Loess Plateau from south to north is gently-broken-gently.
