摘    要:本文在分析峡东地区中、新生代构造应力场演化的基础上,根据构造形变、水系分布、震源机制与地球物理场特征和应力实测、模拟实验等多种途径综合分析了现代构造应力环境,认为本区现今处在大范围引张力背景上迭加了北东-南西向压应力的联合作用,由此决定了中强地震的活动特点及其发震断裂系统。

Abstract:On the basis of analysing the evolution of tectonic stress field during Meso-Cenozoic Era and by use of multimedia investigation,such as tectonic deformation,earthquake focal mechanism stress measurements and modelling etc,the recent stress environment and its relation to the seismicity in the eastern section of Yangtze Gorges region are discussed in this paper.The results suggest that in the studied area the NE-SW pressure stress is superimposed on the regional tension background which is resulted from uplift of crust and upper mantle,and the seismicity characteristic and seismosenic fault system are dependent on the united action of both the stresses.
