Abstract:Knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of aqueous solution is important to discuss the evolution of the Earth because aqueous solution plays an important role in geological function and geological processes in Earth`s interior.In this paper,the properties of electricity,sound,and energy of aqueous solution had been studied under high pressure.The results show that ,at the same temperature,electrical conductivity of water and 0.01 mol/L NaCl solution changes little with increasing pressure below 1.5 GPa.However ,electrical conductivity of water and 0.01 mol/L NaCl solution increases with pressure above 1.5 GPa.There exists one or more linear regions in plots of the logarithm of electrical conductivity of water and 0.01 mol/L NaCl solution versus the reciprocal of temperature.The different linear regions represent different conducting mechanism.The activation energy of solid conduction is big and the electrical conductivity of solid water and NaCl solutions are mainly controlled by electronic conduction.However,the activation energy of liquid conduction is small and the electrical conductivity of liquid water and NaCl solutions are mainly controlled by ionic conduction. Premelting effects of ice were determined by means of electrical conductivity measurment,ultrasonic wave amplitude analysis and differential thermal analysis above 2.25 GPa.Premelting effects of ice include endothermic process,continuous change of ultrasonic wave amplitude,and decrease of electrical conductivity.
