| Abstract: | On September 1 6,1994,a strong earthquake of M 7.3 struck the Southern Taiwan Strait.Thisis the strongest shock in the area since 1918.Some information data of this earthquake are compiled inthis paper,mainly including:focal parameters,earthquake intensity,seismicity sequence,earthquakedisasters,number of casualties,seismogeological conditions,disaster features as well as some experi-ence and lessons which merit attention. |
