Abstract:Two impulsive limb coronal mass ejections (CMEs), one of which was accompanied by an active prominence and the other by a flare, are analyzed using AIA/SDO solar data. The analysis leads to the conclusion that, in both cases, the sources of the CME formation were magnetic tubes rising from beneath the photosphere at high velocity. One or more arch structures can be located in the path of the magnetic tube, which it influences and drags along with it. The arch structures may then participate in the formation of the future CME, whose main basis is the magnetic tube itself.
