| Abstract: | The distribution of cadmium, copper, iron, manganese, lead, and zinc in sediments of Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, Australia was investigated, and the impact of industrial discharges studied. The pre-cultural levels for these metals are in nearly all cases far less than the post-cultural levels, especially in those sediments deposited in the last half century in the vicinity of urbanized areas. |
