| Abstract: | The polychaete worm Capitella capitata is shown to be fairly resistant to high concentrations of inorganic mercury. Survival of adults compared with those of the polychaete Ophryotrocha labronica shows that C. capitata can withstand 1 ppm Hg2+ for several days whilst O. labronica succombs to 0.5 ppm Hg2+ in 2 h. |
