| Abstract: | The development of applied softwares is the key to the popularization of com-puter technology. The present paper just tends to make a start of the popularization. Thus, a mapping program is introduced for the vertical sequence of de-positional bodies by PC-1500 pocket computer. There are 49 kinds of basic litho-logy and the patterns of 45 kinds of depositional marks instored in the program, which will be available for the study of continental and paralic sediments. The program is simple to operate and convenient to use so that it is suitable for indoor and field work conditions. |
