Development of mathematical geology in China

Development of mathematical geology in China is reviewed in general. The main progress in the country of this field consists of a few good applications of various mathematical methods and computer techniques in geology, including probability theory, multivariate statistics, geostatistics, computer simulation, and computer data base. In the last few years some conferences and symposia concerning mathematical geology have been held. The general aspects of organizations, education and publications of this discipline are also introduced.
