| Abstract: | We present a brief status report on our ongoing extensive and detailed Walraven photometric observations of the young stellar cluster NGC 2244 in the Rosette Nebula. The observational and reduction procedure is described together with the first results on membership, extinction and detection of pre-Main-Sequence stars.Based on observations collected at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and at the Observatoire de Haute Provence (OHP, CNRS).Paper presented at the 11th European Regional Astronomical Meetings of the IAU on  New Windows to the Universe , held 3–8 July, 1989, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. |
