| Abstract: | Detention pond is one of the most important detention facilities. It call be used for the reduction of peakflow, the control of streamlinc and the regulation of sediment outflow. In this study, a dimensionlessmethod is used for simulating the variation of detention volume under the interaction of the triangularinflow hydragraph and the peak flow reduction. The minimum detention detention volume could then be estimatedfor the design of detention facities accordingly. |
