| Abstract: | This paper describes the algorithms for recognition and extraction of map information based on its structural features. Some useful algorithms for feature extraction such as contraction transformation, expansion transformation, thinning, Hough transformation,run length smearing(RLS) transformation and extracting the feature points are discussed. |
