摘    要:如何实现地形的实时动态显示是GIS/VR的研究内容之一 ,多分辨率模型 (LOD)作为加速显示速度的手段近年来得到了普遍的重视和发展。在总结前人LOD算法的基础上 ,针对大数据集地形数据 ,文中采用三角形法向量判断的方法将地形数据组织成具有层次结构的多分辨率模型 ,在分辨率选择的基础上 ,根据视点位置和视线方向对不可见面片进行删除 ,在不影响视觉效果的前提下减少绘制所需的三角面片数 ,从而实现地形实时显示。实验结果表明 ,该算法是成功有效的。

Abstract:How to realize the terrain real time dynamic rendering is one research topic of Geographic Information System and Virtual Reality study. Level of Detail(LOD) as an real time terrain rendering method has been emphasized and developed in recently years. In this paper, an algorithm, which uses the triangular normal vector calculated method to hierarchical representing terrain data in multiresolution models then quickly deleting the invisible faces on the base of resolution selected and view direction, so reduces the rendering faces not influence the visual effect to realize the terrain real time rendering, is provided. The last experiment illustrates the algorithm is efficient.
