| Abstract: | Pseudomorphs after ikaite were named as glendonite, thinolite, thinolitic tufa, jarrowite, pseudogaylussite and gennoishi etc, respectively before, and some terms still occured in geological literature. Accordingly, ,it is worthy of attention that glendonite and suchlike terms shauld be treaded as ikaite pseudomorphs, thus, Chinese translations of such in the English-Chinese Dictonary of Geology should be revised. In this paper, the occurrences of ikaite and its pseudomorphhs ahve been tabulated with recent literature cited. |
