| Abstract: | Based on an analysis of Hong Kong economic models and a comparison of economic levels and development condition between Hong Kong and Dalian, a development strategy for Dalian in next century has been proposed in the paper. According to the authors, the Hong Kong economic models consist of social - economic model, free market economy regional autonomy mixed culture of the orient and the west, and industrial economic model, to give priority to the development of tertiary industry an inverted pyramid structure of industries. In order to develop a "North Hong Kong", a more open policy should be taken, and a reasonable industry structure,stabling the first, stressing the second and promoting the tertiary industry, should be constructed in Dalian. |
