Abstract:The role of metamorphic processes (including postmagmatic ones) in the origin of mineral assemblages is estimated for the layered unit (LU) and barren rocks (BR) in the Pana Intrusion. Numerical simulations indicate that metamorphic processes simultaneously modified the mineralogical composition of the rocks, Pt and Pd compounds, and the fluids. The process resulted in systematic changes in the mineralogical and fluid composition and is realistically reproduced by physicochemical numerical simulations. Our results make it possible to estimate the effect of P-T parameters on the composition of metallic Pt and Pd and their sulfides, selenides, and tellurides and the composition of the fluid phase during the transformations and localization of the PGE ore mineralization.
