| Abstract: | The use of ground effects for the evaluation of earthquake intensity is described and discussed. The importance of such effects, and the problems that arise when they are not properly considered, are analysed in particular. The opinions of many experts in the field, regarding the uselessness of such data because of their great variability, are refuted. |
