This article conveys much intention to track, and to understand, the occurrence of Father P. Teilhard de Chardin’s contributions to science in China during various periods of his career on the basis of his dairy and letters, and memories of those who are acquainted with him. Meanwhile, an effort is also made to decipher how P. Teilhard de Chardin acquired a beauty of harmony in his science and philosophy under so complex and so hard circumstances. Like the cases that quite often occurred in human history, the greatness and significance of the achievements made by P. Teilhard de Chardin could not be perceived from himself, and are also beyond the age he lived in.
