南极长城站地区西湖底沉积物化学元素分布规律及其环境意义

摘    要:利用南极长城站地区西湖底沉积物的化学元素背景值,对西湖底沉积物元素的时序分布规律及其指示的环境意义作了较细致的研究。研究表明,湖底沉积物元素的时序变化规律与站区自然环境变化密切相关。尽管元素的时序变化滞后于自然环境的波动,但对研究长城站地区自然环境演变仍具有一定的指示意义。尤其是S元素的异常变化,可能揭示出长城站地区两次规模较大的火山活动。

DISTRIBUTION OF CHEMICAL ELEMENTS IN THE SEDIMENTS OF XIHU LAKE,ANTARCTICA AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL SIGNIFICANCE
Abstract:The temporal distribution of chemical elements in the sediment of Xihu Lake and the environmental significance of the distribution according to the concentrations and their ratio of some elements are studied in detail.The results indicate that the temporal variation is closely interrelated with the environmental change of this area. Although the variation of chemical elements fall behind that of the environment, it is undoubtedly an index for environmental change.The ratio of elements in 8,11,14,19 and 22 layers shows acidic property,high oxidation and warm climate of natural environment, but which in 9,12,15 and 20 layers shows alkali property,low oxidation and cool climate of natural environment. The abnormal variation of sulfur may suggest two large scale volcanic activities. 
