苏州南红玛瑙创作局面的探究

From then, Suzhou has been the representative status in the field of Nanhong agate carving because of its early start- ing and quick development of carving on a large scale . From the beginning, young gravers kept the same pace with the master sculptors to make a big progress in Nanhong agate carv- ing, which is good for the high--speed development of the whole industry. From the conser- vative view, it only cost two years, from 2011 to the middle of 2013, to form a complete in- dustry system which involved material supply, manufacture, marketing and academic re- search. In the artistic creation, Suzhou inherits the whole experiences on jade carving of the industry, not just on Nanhong agate carving. New artistic creation style that differs from nephrite carving formed along with the knowledge about the features of Nanhong agate gath- ered. Nanhong agate carving industry of Suzhou has earned a high reputation, for the awards won in the years and the important role played in the auction market. In a conclusion, it is the excellent carving skills and the long history that make Suzhou stand out from the crowd in the field of Nanhong agate carving, besides, the open social environment and the comfort-able creative environment should not be ignored. In the paper, the current complexion of Nanhong agate carving is analyzed and there must be something that we can learn from the development of Nanhong agate carving industry of Suzhou.
