Abstract:In this paper, the development of flow injection inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (FI ICP MS) was reviewed. The applications with respect to the flow injection on line sample introduction,on line dilution, on line isotope dilution, on line vapor generation, on line separation and preconcentration and other on line sample handling techniques in ICP MS analysis were presented in details. The future development of FI ICP MS was also prospected. 91 references were cited.
