黄长石的晶体形态研究

黄长石族矿物广泛分布在各种工艺岩石,尤其是高炉渣中,它在高炉渣中的分布量可与长石类矿物在天然岩石中的情况相比拟。黄长石有时也出现在富钙的碱性岩中,因此,黄长石的研究对岩石学和工艺岩石学,都具有一定的意义。

A STUDY ON CRYSTALOMORPHOLOGY OF MELILITE

Basing upon a great deal of investigations of the sections of slag and casting stone, the crystal habits of melilite are divided by the present authors into three groups as follows: 1. tabular, 2. X-shaped or mat-shaped skeletal crystals and 3. hour-glass structure. The latter in turn is subdivided into three groups, i. e. solid,skeletal and combinative hour-glass structures composed of two minerals-meliliteand monticellite.The orientations of skeletal crystal and hour-glass structure are illustrated on the basis of unit cell dimensions of melilite and the theory of parallel intergrowth (epitaction).
