A STUDY OF THE INHERITANCE ABOUT SOURCE OF RECENT PLACER GOLD IN SOUTHEASTERN GUIZHOU

The gold-bearing quartz vein occurring in Banxi Group is the direct source of recent pla- cer gold in southeastern Guizhou. The Sinian till conglomerate, Cretaceous-Tertiary lateritic weathering crust type placer gold, residual and slope wash placer gold are local point sources from which recent placer gold is reconcentrated,that is, transfer source for multi-concentration of placer gold. Research on the source of placer gold indicates that is it characterized by relatively distinct inheritance which is of important significance in the prediction and evalua- tion of regional gold mineralization.
