| Abstract: | The article discusses regularities in the distribution of mud volcanoes and characterizes most important mud volcanic provinces of the world. A new morphogenetic classification of mud volcanoes substantiated by results of their study in the Crimean–Caucasian and West Turkmenian regions is proposed. |
