新疆库木库里盆地的第三系

新疆库木库里盆地第三系可划分为渐新统花条山组、中新统中下部红石梁组、中新统中部风尘口组及上新统碱土梁组。其主要岩性是一套陆源粗碎屑物。沉积物分析表明，这是一个从早第三纪开始发育的独立盆地，但与柴达木盆地有着一定的联系，生物面貌彼此能较好地对比。盆地第三系沉积物物源来自南部昆仑山及北部祁漫塔格山

TERTIARY IN THE KUMKOL BASIN,XINJIANG

The Tertiary in the Kumkol basin,Xinjiang,may be divided into the Oligocene Huatiaoshan Formation,middle lower Miocene Hongshiliang Formation,middle Miocene Fengchenkou Formation and Pliocene Jiantuliang Formation.It is lithologially represented a sequence of terrigenous coarse clastic sediments.Analysis indicates that the Kumkol basin is an independent basin that began its depositional history in the Eogene but was to some extent connected with the Qaidam basin.Both may be well correlated in biotic appearance.The Tertiary sediments of the basin were derived from the Kunlun Mountains to its south and the Qimantag Mountains to its north.
