Sedimentation in the Carpathian Flysch sea |

| Abstract: | On the ground of the sedimentary features of the Flysch the general conditions of sedimentation in the Carpathian Flysch sea are tentatively reconstructed. It is admitted that the Carpathian Flysch has been deposited in a fairly deep basin under the influence of turbidity currents. The directions of transport are presented and the distances covered by currents estimated. Some inferences concerning the shape and relief of the basin are discussed. |
