Turbulent regeneration of magnetic fields

We calculate an exact form for the regeneration term of the turbulent dynamo equation which is valid for arbitrary values of the magnetic Reynolds number. It is shown that finite conductivity can change the regenerative character of the dynamo, depending on the geometry and character of the fluid motion in the turbulent eddies.On leave from the Departamento de Fisica Teorica e Experimental, UFRN, Natal, RB, Brazil.
