Tertiary and quaternary geodynamics of southern Lut (Iran) as deduced from palaeomagnetic, isotopic and structural data

Palaeomagnetic measurements and K---Ar age determinations carried out on lavas from Dash-e-Lut in southeast Iran reveal an anticlockwise rotation of about 90° of the depression south of Lut between Paleocene and Miocene time. It is probably associated with the collision between India and Asia.
