Abstract: | Dust complexes in the Solar System are produced and maintained by different physical processes. However, one often requires equations of the same type to be studied and solved in order to mathematically describe these processes. We have analytically found earlier a shape of the complex formed when particles are ejected in a single-ejection event from a parent body orbiting a central body in a circular orbit. In the present paper, we consider a parent body moving in an arbitrary elliptical orbit and ejecting particles at the pericenter or apocenter. For illustration purposes, the theoretical results are applied to the Geminid meteoroid stream. The comparison with the results obtained by other authors shows good agreement. |
