Abstract:The velocity profile of sediment-laden flow can be related to the concentration distribution and concentration gradient. A relationship between the velocity profile and concentration distribution is developed covering clear water and sediment-laden flow (including homogeneous and heterogeneous flow). The relationship suggested here has been verified with experimental data. Also a two-layer model is developed.
