Nyer is a vice president with Geraghty &Miller Inc., where he is responsible for maintaining and expanding the company's technical expertise in geology/hydrogeology, engineering, modeling, risk assessment, and bioremediation. He has been active in the development of new treatment technologies for many years. His areas of research interest include biological treatment, suspended solids separation, chemical oxidation, in situ treatment, air treatment systems, and the application of new technologies to ground water cleanup. He has been responsible for the strategies, technical design, and installation of more than 200 ground water and soil remediation systems at contaminated sites throughout the U.S.;Dr. Suthan S. Suthersan, Ph.D., RE, is a vice president and director of remediation technologies at Geraghty &Miller Inc. His primary responsibilities include development and application of innovative in situ remediation technologies and providing technical oversight on projects across the country. He has a Ph. D. in environmental engineering from the University of Toronto and is a registered professional engineer in several states. His technology development efforts have many patents awarded and pending. Dr. Suthersan has pioneered various conventional and modified applications of many in situ technologies such as in situ reactive walls, in situ air sparging, bioventing, in situ bioremediation, and pneumatic/hydraulic fracturing.
