Abstract:Summary. Palaeolatitudes estimated from DSDP sediments provide important constraints on the apparent polar wander path (APWP) of Africa during the Cenozoic. A revised APWP is suggested based on new information about palaeomagnetic poles from the African continent and predicted palaeolatitudes are compared with those determined from Leg 73 sediments. Other published paths are discussed.
