| 摘 要： | Stebbins(1948)postulated that Sequoia sempervirens may originate from an allopolyploid hybridized by a Tertiary or Mesozoic species of Metasequoia glyptostrobus and another extinct taxodiaceous plant which resembles not unlike Sequoiadendron, Taiwania and Athrotaxis.
