A method for the interpretation of magnetic anomalies of dipping doublets

Summary A simple method for the interpretation of the vertical magnetic anomalies of dipping doublets is presented. In the first step, the line integrals of the anomalies along theX direction, which represent the anomalies of a vertical line double are utilised to obtain the depths to the two poles. In the second step, the profile alongY, through the point of intersection of the doublet with theX axis is used to determine the dip of the dipole.
