| Abstract: | It is generally introduced in the paper the progress China has made in the past 15 years in spatial data acquirement and data mining. The author discussed in detail geo information science how to meet the challenges and opportunities of new economy in the face of knowledge based innovation, especially discussed the new concept 'geo informatic graphic analysis (Tupu)'. 'Beijing declaration' for the 'digital earth' and 'Shanghai declaration' for 'city informatization' are introduced. The author appeals t reinforce the international cooperation and communication, and provides information service for global and regional sustainable development. |
